Nigerian Girl Seyitan Babatayo Who Accused D'Banj Of Rape Says She Is Sorry
A friend of Seyitan, Benjamin Ese, in a Twitter string toward the beginning of June had recounted to the tale of how D'Banj supposedly assaulted Seyitan at an hotel abour two years ago, December 2018.
She said it occurred at an all white gathering where D'Banj supposedly offered Seyitan some cash to go through the night which she dismissed until he shockingly appeared in Seyitan's hotel room around 2am.
According to her, "D'Banj drove right from Eko hotel where he was held up and came down to Glee Hotel in Victoria Island at 2.40am and collected the extra key from the receptionist," Ese said in the string which has broke the internet.
He said D'Banj purportedly got into Seyitan's room and threatened he would walk her out of the room naked if she doesn't comply, he then kept his fingers in her vagina and more than once assaulted her.
The assault, Ese said had caused Seyitan some injury since the episode occurred.
One month after Ese's tweets, Seyitan came out openly to introduce herself as the woman who was supposedly assaulted by D'Banj in December 2018.
Dbanj denied the claims leveled against him and asked Seyitan to make an open expression of remorse and furthermore pay him the entirety of N100m in harms.
On Tuesday it was asserted that Seyitan was captured by the police and kept for more than 24 hours on the request of Dbanj. Her companions guarantee the officials caused her to erase all talks, online networking posts and other essential data from her telephone.
The move was broadly condemned by internet users and a couple of big names who blamed Dbanj for taking the laws into his hands.
Reaching to Seyitan for clarity, she said she is done with all these back and forth drama that Frank took her to the party and gave her the key to the room that she is moving on and leaving everything behind her. Thanks and God bless. She said and then added that she was not arrested and detained by D'banj and her mum was not arrested as claimed by people. She said she's doing fine and tweeted that it was never her intention that she got love for D'banj and even promoted D'banj's new song Stress Free on her twitter timeline.
