Four Nigerian Artistes To Watch Out For In 2022
1) Buju - Daniel Benson popularly known as Buju became an instant fans favourite after featuring on Ladipoe's Feeling in early 2021. He gained more exposure with series of features and had a big break when afrobeats sensation Wizkid featured him in Mood, a song off his Made In Lagos Deluxe album. Buju had been in the music scene for some years and was formerly signed to Burna Boy's Spaceship Entertainment before going independent after having a breakthrough in the industry in 2021. He went ahead to release his first album this year which he calls Sorry I'm Late. Buju is an act to watch out for in 2022.
2) AV - Adindu Victor popularly known as AV is an Afropop singer and song writer from Nigeria. In April 2021, AV had a major breakthrough when he released the single "Big Thug Boys", an Afrobeats song produced by Kulboy with an accompanying video directed by Director Dindu. The song has amassed over 300k streams across all platforms and over a million youtube views within two months. AV is definitely an act to watch out for in 2022.
3) Jimmygid - Jimmygid is an afrobeats artiste from Bayelsa State Nigeria. He released Colorado early this year which instantly became a hit and has garnered thousands of streams worldwide. Jimmygid is definitely an act to watch out for in 2022.
4 ) Ofego - Ofego is a Banku Music Artiste from Nigeria. He released his first single of 2021 "Mama Ko Oh" in April and thereafter released seven more singles in 2021 including the smash hit "E Be She" which was featured in multiple playlists in Canada on Audiomack. Ofego went hard this year with his music career, he dropped eight singles in a space of eight months and has being featured on over 101 Playlists on Spotify. From 0 monthly listeners on spotify in june, he rose to over 38,000 monthly listeners on spotify in October. Ofego is surely an act to watch out for in 2022.
